Free Roblox Class for Kids: 60 Minutes, Live and 1-on-1

The free Roblox class for kids is a normal lesson, not a presentation. It runs on Zoom, one child and one mentor, for 60 minutes:

1. Getting set up (about 10 minutes). We check Roblox Studio is installed and signed in, and ask your child what they like to play and whether they've built anything before.
2. Building (about 25 minutes). Your child places, shapes and anchors parts to build a small level: a short obstacle course, a room with a door, or a mini arena.
3. First script (about 15 minutes). Your child writes a Luau script that makes the level react — a part that resets the player when touched, a door that opens, or a coin that disappears when collected.
4. Test and fix (about 5 minutes). They press Play, find what's broken and fix it — the most useful habit in programming.
5. Wrap-up with you (about 5 minutes). A quick summary of what your child did and what comes next.

Your child does the typing and clicking throughout; the mentor explains, asks questions and helps them get unstuck.

The project depends on age and experience, so the free Roblox coding lesson starts where your child actually is:

• Ages 8–10, new to Studio: a short obby with a kill brick and a checkpoint. It teaches parts, properties and a first event — what happens when something is touched.
• Ages 11–13: a door that opens smoothly using a ProximityPrompt and TweenService, or a coin pickup that adds to a score.
• Ages 14–17 or experienced builders: a small game mechanic such as a leaderboard with leaderstats, a round timer or a simple tool, with a first look at how client and server split the work.

At the end of the Roblox Studio trial lesson you get an honest recommendation, not a sales pitch. It covers:

• Where your child is now — how comfortable they are with Studio, typing and logic.
• Which track to start with — usually Roblox, but sometimes Python first, for example for a confident reader and typist who wants to learn general programming.
• A sensible pace — one lesson a week is a typical start.
• Whether the Roblox + AI program fits — for teens aged 14–17, the Roblox + AI course may be the better match.

There's no obligation and no card on file. If you decide to continue, we send a PayPal invoice; if not, your child keeps what they built. And if we think lessons aren't the right fit yet — for example, for a child who isn't reading comfortably — we'll say so.

A little preparation means the whole hour goes on building:

1. A Windows PC or a Mac. Roblox Studio doesn't run on Chromebooks, iPads or phones.
2. Install Roblox Studio. It's free from the Roblox website. Sign in with your child's Roblox account; a parent can create one if needed.
3. Install Zoom and check that screen sharing works.
4. A mouse and headphones with a microphone. Building with a trackpad is slow, and headphones stop echo.
5. A quiet spot with a stable internet connection.

No Robux, paid subscriptions or previous coding experience are needed. If something won't install, tell us before the lesson and we'll help you sort it out, or we'll start a few minutes early and fix it together.
