1-on-1 Online Coding Classes for Kids, With the Same Mentor

In 1-on-1 online coding classes for kids, the whole lesson is about one child. Your child shares their screen on Zoom and writes the code; the mentor watches every line, asks why it works, and helps them find their own bugs. Plenty of children try to learn Roblox from videos and get stuck the first time a script throws an error the video never showed. A Roblox coding tutor fixes that: the mentor sees the same Studio window your child sees and helps them read the Output, find the line and understand why it failed.

In the Roblox course, children build and script their own games in Luau: obstacle courses, doors and switches, coin counters, leaderboards, round-based games. Each project introduces a new idea — events, functions, tables, client and server — and your child can publish what they make.

Families usually look for a private coding tutor for kids for one of a few reasons. Some children are ahead of their school computer science class and bored. Some fall behind in a group because they're shy about asking questions. Others are homeschooled and need a structured subject with an adult who checks their work.

The mentor is in Toronto, on Eastern Time — the same clock as New York. Canada and the US change their clocks on the same dates, so a lesson time never drifts by an hour.

• Weekends: the main option for children in school, and for families on Mountain or Pacific time.
