Online Coding Classes for Kids in Dubai and Across the UAE

Each lesson is a live Zoom session with one child and one mentor, lasting a full 60 minutes. Your child shares their screen and writes every line; the mentor guides, asks questions and helps them find their own bugs. There is no group to keep up with and no one to wait for.

These online coding classes for kids in Dubai suit busy expat schedules: no driving across the city at rush hour, no term-long enrolment, and a mentor who stays the same when your child changes school or you move to another emirate. Children aged 8–17 choose a track:

• Roblox Studio and Luau — building and scripting games.
• Python — problem-solving, games and small apps.
• Web development — HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Many families in the UAE speak more than one language at home. Lessons are available in English, Ukrainian and Russian, so a child can learn in whichever language they think in most easily.

The mentor teaches in the morning Eastern Time, which lands in the UAE afternoon:

• Roughly March to early November: weekday slots around 15:00–17:00 Gulf time.
• Roughly November to March: about 16:00–18:00, because Canada changes its clocks and the UAE doesn't.
• Weekends: Saturday and Sunday slots are also available.

That window usually sits after school pick-up and before dinner. Many UAE schools finish earlier on Fridays, which can make Friday a comfortable lesson day. During Ramadan, when school hours shorten and family evenings change, we can move lessons to a time that suits you.

We don't publish a fixed timetable. After the free lesson we agree one weekly slot and keep it. Lessons are booked in blocks of four, so there is no commitment for a whole term.

Families here use many school systems, and coding classes for kids in the UAE need to fit all of them. British, IB and American-curriculum schools in Dubai generally run from late August to early July — the 2026–27 year starts on 31 August — while Indian-curriculum schools begin their year in April.

Whatever the curriculum, computer science eventually moves from blocks to typed code. Python is common in GCSE, IGCSE and IB Computer Science, and CBSE Computer Science in Classes 11–12 is taught in Python. Lessons don't follow a specific exam specification, but they give your child steady practice with real code, error messages and debugging before school expects it.

AI is arriving in classrooms too: the UAE Ministry of Education introduced an AI curriculum in government schools, from kindergarten to Grade 12, starting in 2025–26. Children who understand how programs work are better placed to use AI tools with judgement instead of simply copying their output.

Roblox coding is often what turns a child who plays games into one who makes them. In Roblox Studio your child builds a map, then writes Luau scripts: a door that opens, a checkpoint that saves progress, a coin counter, a timed round. Each project uses variables, events, conditions and functions — the building blocks of any programming language.

Roblox Studio is free, but it needs a Windows PC or a Mac; it doesn't run on iPads or Chromebooks. Building in Studio doesn't involve chatting with strangers, and a game can stay private until you're happy for others to play it.

Teens aged 14–17 can join the Roblox + AI program, which builds a complete game in the first lesson of each month, then adds 3D models, animations and visual effects made with AI tools. Younger children usually start with the free Roblox class.

A 60-minute lesson costs CA$70, about AED 180 at current rates; lessons come in blocks of four for CA$280, around AED 730. For comparison, large US schools typically charge around US$60–75 for a 50–60 minute private lesson.

You pay by PayPal invoice in Canadian dollars, and PayPal or your card converts the amount to dirhams. Some cards add a foreign-currency fee, so it's worth checking with your bank. If your plans change, unused lessons are refundable within 14 days.
